Hey everyone, today we're taking a look at the Hatsune Miku: First Dream Ver. figure from Max Factory.
As many fans know, Miku has a Chinese voicebank, aptly named "Hatsune Miku V4 CHINESE."
Her first Chinese-language album was titled "First Dream," and this scale figure is a stunning realization of that album's cover art.
Comparing it to the original illustration, the fidelity of this piece is incredibly high, especially the dynamic, wind-swept twin-tails and clothing. It's the top-tier quality we've come to expect from Max Factory.

Let's get to the photos.
The overall box design echoes the style of the original art, featuring a dreamy blend of purple and pink.

The contents are quite simple. The figure is a single piece with no assembly required, so you just get the main body and the base.

A full 360-degree view of the figure.
To be honest, the floating, single-leg pose is a little concerning for long-term display.

Detail Shots
The face sculpt is gorgeous from pretty much any angle; there's no bad way to look at her.

The tiny Bilibili-themed hair accessory is sharply detailed and cleanly executed.

The gradient coloration in her hair is a faithful attempt to replicate the original artwork.
When official photos of the complex hair sculpt were first revealed, some collectors worried about potential breakage. Thankfully, the final production version is solid and doesn't have that issue.

Her outfit is a modification of her classic costume, giving it more of a sailor uniform vibe.

Over-the-knee socks.
Beyond the pattern on the side, they also feature a beautiful color gradient, adding a lot of visual richness.

The Base.
In an era where prize figure bases are often more elaborate than those on scale figures, I'm just happy with anything that isn't a plain monochrome disc. This one is pretty nice.

Bonus Shot Time!
They even sculpted a three-dimensional bow in a spot you'd normally never see. Does Max Factory really need to be this dedicated to detail? Haha!

That about covers the main points.
Even though this figure arrived last year, I'm a huge fan of this design, so I wanted to give it a proper photoshoot and review, despite the delay.
You don't have to worry about the production quality. While it might not be as flashy as some more recent releases, it has a clean and beautiful aesthetic all its own.
In my opinion, this is a figure you won't regret adding to your collection. Hope this review helps you decide!
