The popular S.H.Figuarts action figure line, a flagship offering from BANDAI SPIRITS' TAMASHII NATIONS collectible toy division, is set to launch a new figure based on the highly anticipated Disney Pixar animated film, "Lightyear." Fans can look forward to the protagonist, Buzz Lightyear Alpha Suit, with a suggested retail price of 8,800 JPY. The figure is scheduled for release in June 2022.
The film "Lightyear," a spin-off from the beloved "Toy Story" franchise, delves into the origin story of the actual human character who inspired the iconic Buzz Lightyear toy. It chronicles the protagonist's rise and experiences, from a daring test pilot to a legendary Space Ranger, establishing a distinct universe separate from the "Toy Story" series. The younger Buzz Lightyear is voiced by Chris Evans.
