The highly anticipated animated film "Lightyear" finally premiered today (17th)! Hong Kong toy manufacturer Hot Toys has also released its latest product from the film, the "Buzz Lightyear" 1/6th scale collectible figure! Both the regular version and the deluxe version will be released simultaneously, and this article will provide information on the deluxe version.
The 2022 animated film "Lightyear," directed by Angus MacLane, tells the origin story of the character who inspired the "Buzz Lightyear" toy; this film is set as a spin-off of the "Toy Story" film series, featuring a different worldview, and Buzz Lightyear will be voiced by Chris Evans, portraying a younger Buzz, allowing audiences to glimpse his experiences as a Space Ranger.
In addition to all the contents of the regular version, the deluxe version also includes a jetpack with built-in magnets, wing parts in both deployed and stowed states, a computer, and the emotional support robot cat "Sox." The jetpack, featuring an iron-gray, red, and yellow color scheme, not only boasts rich detail sculpting but also significantly enhances realism with its heavy metallic paint application. Sox also features simple articulation, allowing it to embark on exciting adventures with Buzz Lightyear.
