The "Dragon Ball" phenomenon began in 1984 when renowned Japanese manga artist Akira Toriyama started serializing his manga in Shueisha's "Weekly Shonen Jump." After 10 and a half years of serialization, it became an immensely popular masterpiece, skyrocketing in popularity worldwide, selling 260 million copies, and remaining a long-running bestseller to this day. As the appeal of "Dragon Ball" continues to grow, the work has expanded beyond manga into TV animation, theatrical releases, video games, and merchandise. Today, 38 years since the original "Dragon Ball" manga first debuted, its content continues to evolve, with this new large-scale theatrical film bringing the series to a brand new peak.
