American toy brand SUPER7 has launched a giant-sized "Sox" (Supersize Sox) sofubi toy based on Disney's animated film "Lightyear"! Pre-orders are now open on the SUPER7 official website.
In "Lightyear," "Sox" is a personal companion robot (Personal Companion Robot) assigned to Buzz Lightyear by Star Command, intended to ease Buzz's emotional transition after a long absence; in the film, Sox not only exhibits various adorable behaviors but also possesses incredibly powerful functions.
This 1:1 scale replica Sox sofubi toy stands approximately 37 cm tall and measures 50 cm long, faithfully reproducing its in-film appearance and featuring simple articulation. The collar and name tag are crafted from faux leather and metal, respectively. It also comes with a mouse robot. Furthermore, the packaging box, designed with the theme of "Star Command Property," is quite impressive, and together they allow for a deep immersion into the world of "Lightyear."
