F:NEX, the high-quality figure brand under Japanese prize toy manufacturer Furyu (フリュー株式会社), has announced the release information for its latest product, the "Pochita" 1/1 Scale Soft Vinyl Figure, following the news that the MAPPA anime "Chainsaw Man" will air later this year! The suggested retail price is 25,300 JPY, with pre-orders opening on July 5, 2022, at F:NEX and MAPPA ONLINE SHOP, and a release date in July 2023.
Created by Japanese manga artist Tatsuki Fujimoto, the dark shonen manga series "Chainsaw Man" tells the story of Denji (publisher's translation, phonetic translation is "Dianci"), an extremely impoverished protagonist in a world overrun by "devils." To repay his deceased father's massive debt, Denji becomes a Devil Hunter, earning money by slaying devils, and partners with the Chainsaw Devil "Pochita" to hunt them. In an accident, Pochita sacrifices himself, merging with Denji's heart through a contract, resurrecting Denji and granting him the ability to transform into a Chainsaw Devil. This also leads to Denji being noticed by the government's "Public Safety Devil Hunters."
