Hello everyone, today I'm going to unbox and share with you the Zhao Ling'er figure produced by GSC.
I believe many of you are familiar with the game Legend of Sword and Fairy. From its earliest DOS version released in 1995, new titles have continued to be released up until last year.
When I first got my very first computer, the first PC game I ever played was the DOS version of Legend of Sword and Fairy 1.
Before that, the video games I encountered were mostly on consoles like FC and SFC, and there wasn't much Chinese localization at the time, so naturally, I wasn't interested in playing RPGs.
Thus, Legend of Sword and Fairy 1 was also my first RPG.
Based on all of the above, coupled with experiencing such a poignant ending in my very first RPG, Legend of Sword and Fairy 1 has always held an indelible sentimental value in my heart.
Then, in 2020, for the 25th anniversary of Legend of Sword and Fairy 1,
GSC released a 1/7 scale Zhao Ling'er as part of the Legend of Sword and Fairy Series 25th Anniversary Edition.
As soon as I saw the pre-order announcement, I immediately pre-ordered it regardless of the price, because what I was buying was a flood of memories!
However, there's no need to worry too much about GSC's quality; it shouldn't be criticized as much as the previous Zhao Ling'er released by Myethos.
(Though I honestly don't think the Myethos version was that bad; while it differed from the original illustration, the actual figure was still quite beautiful.)

Here are the photos below.
The outer box features elegant, light tones, adorned with some hot-stamped silver lotus patterns.
One side of the box also features that classic poem:
On Immortal Spirit Island, a unique grotto-heaven,
A lone lotus in the pond sleeps with the moon.
One morning, wind and rain fall upon the water's surface,
May you pick it up and cherish it with compassion.
However, the overall packaging doesn't feature the original illustration; the artist is Rella.
The overall style leans towards a cute Japanese aesthetic, distinctly different from the earlier Chinese art style, but each has its own merits.
She is also the artist for several recent Hatsune Miku Symphony events.

The inner box also has a plastic sheet, with the same poem printed on it.

Contents:
Main figure, interchangeable hands, base.

Figure rotation.

Details:
The face sculpt is fine, no specific angles required.
However, there's a small black dot on the forehead. Did I get a defective one... Orz

Hair ribbons scattered, hair flowing freely.
Elegant and sharp, adding a lot of dynamism.

The details on the Sky Serpent Staff are quite good, much better than the previous Myethos version.

The overall paint application on the clothing is fine and of high quality.
However, the Holy Spirit Cloak has a very obvious mold line, and it's right on the front.
This was clearly not present in the official promotional images, which is a significant drawback.

The base is quite elaborate.
Although metal pegs are used, the overall center of gravity is clearly tilted forward, so it's recommended to use a support stand when displaying it.

The base also features the five Spirit Orbs: Wind, Thunder, Water, Fire, and Earth.

The Nüwa tribe's snake tail, revealed after transforming, is rendered in a translucent manner, complemented by ripples on the water's surface.
This further enriches the visual experience of an already thoughtfully designed base.

Interchangeable hands; it's quite odd that they maintain a staff-holding pose even without any object in hand, so I removed them and didn't put them back on.

That concludes the introduction to the contents.
Highly recommended for fans of Legend of Sword and Fairy; it's definitely worth collecting.
For those unfamiliar with the series, if you like the overall design, it's also worth considering.
The only truly disappointing aspect is the mold line on the cloak; if you can accept that, the rest of the quality and sculpt are above standard, making it a really excellent piece.
