The results of the voting event "TARGET × LEGO IDEAS SET VOTE!", jointly organized by LEGO IDEAS (a subsidiary of The LEGO Group) and American retail giant TARGET, were announced yesterday (the 17th)! Among the three sets, it has been confirmed that LEGO fan BrickHammer's design, "Viking Village," has emerged victorious and will officially become a LEGO Ideas series product in the future.
The three entries in the "TARGET × LEGO IDEAS SET VOTE!" were all fan creations that had previously garnered 10,000 votes on the LEGO IDEAS platform but unfortunately did not pass official review. These were BrickHammer's "Viking Village," LEGOParadise's "Working Mini Golf Course - Fully Playable," and Brick Dangerous's "Marine Life." It must be said that these three works, with their distinct themes, each possessed strong advantages and unique characteristics: the outstanding design of the Viking Village, the interesting mechanisms of the Mini Golf, and the vibrant colors of Marine Life. Truly, it would not have been surprising for any of them to be chosen.
In this voting event, which saw over 34,000 participants, the vote counts for the three sets were as follows:
Viking Village - 16,317
Working Mini Golf Course - Fully Playable - 11,575
Marine Life - 6,732
According to BrickHammer's design, this "Viking Village" is composed of approximately 2100 pieces. The entire scene can be divided into five main sections: the blacksmith's shop, the blacksmith's room, the great hall for gatherings, the watchtower, and the sacrificial temple. The watchtower features a drawbridge connecting it to the temple. The overall construction utilizes dark brown and sand-colored bricks for the buildings, while varying shades of grey bricks and blue bricks are used to outline the rock walls and the ocean. It looks incredibly beautiful from every angle, and we eagerly await its official release.
