Japanese toy brand GOOD SMILE COMPANY's affordable pre-painted PVC figure series "POP UP PARADE" is scheduled to release a three-dimensional figure of "Reiner Braun," one of the key characters from the popular series "Attack on Titan," in January 2023!
"Attack on Titan" (進撃の巨人), created by Japanese manga artist Hajime Isayama, began serialization in 2009 and concluded in 2021, with a total of 34 tankōbon volumes. The latest season of the TV anime is expected to release its final conclusion in 2023.
Reiner Braun is one of several major supporting characters. Initially, like protagonist Eren, he belonged to the Eldian Survey Corps. However, his true identity is one of three undercover members from Marley (the other two being Bertholdt and Annie). He possesses the "Armored Titan" power, which grants him a hardened skin and powerful offensive capabilities. Due to his prolonged undercover mission, his personality gradually changed and split, leading to a mental breakdown. Later, after returning to the Marley faction, he reunited with the infiltrating Eren, and it was at this moment that the classic scene, "Reiner, have a seat," was born.
This POP UP PARADE Reiner figure is based on his appearance after returning to Marley in the later stages of the story. At this point, he has grown a beard, giving him a more mature and aged look. Dressed in a military uniform and holding a rifle, he perfectly embodies the image of a soldier. His furrowed brow expression conveys the intense pressure he experienced during that period of the narrative.
