Japanese figure manufacturer GOOD SMILE COMPANY today announced the latest product from their affordable pre-painted figure series, "POP UP PARADE," featuring "Nanachi" from the popular manga "Made in Abyss," scheduled for release in March 2023.
Nanachi is a "Narehate" (Hollow), the "End of Tragedy," who suffered the Curse of the Abyss. Along with her friend Mitty, she lived in seclusion on the fourth layer of the Abyss to escape Lord Bondrewd's control. Nanachi has long ears and is covered in thick fur, appearing like a hybrid of a young girl and a rabbit. She is knowledgeable, skilled in surgery and pharmacology, and possesses a very mature and steady personality, always willing to help others. However, her cooking skills might be even more terrifying than the Abyss itself. After freeing Mitty with the power of the "Incinerator," she joined Riko and Reg on their journey to explore the Abyss.
The "POP UP PARADE Nanachi" figure captures Nanachi's adorable appearance, featuring a bright smile, open fluffy arms, and exposed paw pads and claws. Standing at an easy-to-collect height of 17 cm, details such as the fur texture across the entire body are meticulously sculpted. The rich colors of the helmet and pants are faithfully reproduced with paintwork, and the eye design is recreated using transfer printing to match the anime's settings. This product is priced at 4,800 JPY (tax included), making it a relatively affordable entry-level pre-painted figure in an era of rising costs and prices.
