GOOD SMILE COMPANY's "POCKET-MAQUETTE" (ポケマケット) series of two-head-tall mini figures from Japan will release its first product based on the popular manga "Chainsaw Man": "Pocket Maquette Chainsaw Man 01," featuring six adorable characters from the series! The suggested retail price is 600 JPY each, with an anticipated release in December 2022.
Created by Japanese manga artist Tatsuki Fujimoto, the dark shonen manga "Chainsaw Man" tells the story of a world overrun by "devils." The extremely impoverished protagonist, Denji (publisher's translation, phonetically "Denji"), becomes a Devil Hunter, earning money by slaying devils to pay off his deceased father's massive debt. He partners with the Chainsaw Devil, "Pochita," to hunt devils. In an accident, Pochita sacrifices himself, merging with Denji's heart through a contract, resurrecting Denji and granting him the ability to transform into a Chainsaw Devil. This ability catches the attention of the government's "Public Safety Devil Hunters."
The "Pocket Maquette Chainsaw Man 01" series, featuring pocket-sized compact figures, is crafted with an adorable two-head-tall design, presenting the characters in a cute, chibi style. All body parts utilize a unified standard, with each character's distinctive costume printed on them. The lower body can be fitted with included interchangeable parts to display them in a sitting pose; C-shaped hands can hold accessories, resulting in a simple yet sharp overall design. The lineup includes six types: Chainsaw Man, Denji, Makima, Power, Aki Hayakawa, and Pochita!
