Hong Kong toy manufacturer Hot Toys today (8th) announced its latest product from "Iron Man 2", the "Iron Man Mark V & Race Track Diorama Base" 1/6th scale collectible set! Expected to ship in Q4 2022 ~ Q1 2023.
In "Iron Man 2", Tony and his group were attacked by "Whiplash" Ivan Vanko at the Monaco Historic Grand Prix circuit. Tony's scene of suiting up in the transforming Mark V armor from a briefcase is undoubtedly one of the most classic moments! Previously, Hot Toys released the "Tony Stark Mark V Suit-Up Version" and the "Deluxe Version" with an additional briefcase accessory based on this theme. This time, you'll be able to collect both Iron Man Mark V and the battle-damaged race track diorama base at once.
The "Mark V" diecast figure stands approximately 32.5 cm tall, faithfully recreating the silver and red colored armor as seen in the film. From the intricate mechanical details sculpted on the torso and limbs, to the battle-damaged chest armor, shoulder armor, and left arm replacement parts that convey the intensity of the fight, all are completed with high sculpting prowess. It also includes a bloodied "Tony" unmasked head sculpt, a briefcase, Whiplash's Arc Reactor, and multiple interchangeable hands. Furthermore, this figure features extensive articulation and deployable mechanisms in the back airbrake and calf areas, along with an LED light-up function and a diorama base that recreates the film scene, allowing for an excellent display!
