Released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectors' toy division of BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd. Japan, the alloy and ABS finished product series 'GUNDAM FIX FIGURATION METAL COMPOSITE' today announced that a new product from 'Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz', the Wing Gundam Zero EW, will have its full details revealed on September 13.
The XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero EW is the successor mobile suit piloted by protagonist Heero Yuy in the OVA 'Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz', designed by mechanical designer KATOKI HAJIME. Its status is equivalent to the Wing Gundam Zero from the TV anime series. The EW version features significant design and color scheme changes compared to the TV anime version, most notably the distinctive and organic-looking white wings on its back. These wings not only greatly enhance its mobility but can also envelop and protect the fuselage, forming an "Atmospheric Entry Mode". Its main weapon is also the familiar "Twin Buster Rifle", capable of destroying an entire space colony with a single shot at maximum output.
This newly announced product is, without a doubt, the Renewal Version previously revealed in magazines, which aims to refresh and re-release the initial version released in 2018 with updated designs. That previous version utilized METAL BUILD series technology to create a Wing Gundam Zero EW with exceptional texture and sculpt, and for the first time, introduced transformation mechanisms not seen in the anime. It could transform into two "Neo-Bird Modes" for use both within and outside the atmosphere, as well as a "Zero System" mode where armor on multiple parts such as the head, shoulder armor, chest armor, wrists, and legs could be deployed.
Currently, Bandai has not yet announced what exactly has been "renewed" in this Renewal Version. The highly popular "Snow White" released a prelude, but the main body is still nowhere to be seen. How will the entire Revival project unfold? Bandai, you're truly unpredictable!
