KDcolle, a brand under Japan's KADOKAWA Corporation, will release the "Elf Original Work Ver. 1/7 Scale Figure" based on the popular manga "Uncle from Another World"! It will be available in a standard edition and a KADOKAWA Special Set edition, with an anticipated release in September 2023!
Authored by Japanese manga artist Hotondo Shindeiru, "Uncle from Another World" (Isekai Ojisan) tells the story of the protagonist Takafumi Takaoka, who visits his uncle in the hospital after he awakens from a 17-year coma, bringing self-support documents. Just as he's about to inform his uncle that no one in the family wants to care for him, he witnesses his uncle perform magic from another world—it turns out his uncle is a survivor who returned from the fantasy world of Granbahamal! While listening to his otaku uncle's tales of swords and magic, Takafumi encourages him to transition into an "Isekai YouTuber"... thus, the two embark on a brand new life blending another world with different cultures!
The Elf, whose full name is Suzailgarrardzvegellchega Elga, is simply called "Elf" due to her excessively long name. She is an Elga tribe princess rescued by the uncle from the venomous maw of a poison dragon. Due to her affection for the uncle, readers affectionately refer to her as "Auntie." The uncle occasionally transforms into her during his modern-day livestreams to boost viewership.
The "Elf Original Work Ver. 1/7 Scale Figure" stands approximately 25 cm tall. Based on the manga's original design and fully supervised by author Hotondo Shindeiru, it perfectly recreates the captivating pose from a specially drawn new illustration! The intricate braided hairstyle and individual hair strands are incredibly charming. Details such as her pointed ears, the Celestite ring on her hand, her fingernails, and her distinctive shoulder armor are all exquisitely painted and beautifully rendered. In addition to a cool expression with a sword held in one hand, an alternate shy head sculpt is included. Paired with the "It's not like that~" alternate hand gesture, it allows you to display the adorable tsundere side of "Auntie"!
