KADOKAWA COLLECTION (KDcolle), which has released numerous anime and manga character figures, is scheduled to release a 1/7 scale Red Dress Style figure of the heroine, Raphtalia (ラフタリア), from one of the popular isekai works, "The Rising of the Shield Hero", in March 2023!
"The Rising of the Shield Hero" (盾の勇者の成り上がり) is a fantasy novel serialized online by Japanese novelist Aneko Yusagi, later adapted into a manga, officially animated in 2019, with its second season airing from April 2022. The story recounts how the protagonist, Naofumi Iwatani, a university student, was accidentally sucked into another world through a blank page when he stumbled upon a book called "The Four Holy Weapons," becoming the "Shield Hero," with the unremovable shield on his arm being his only weapon.

Raphtalia (ラフタリア), a demi-human, is Naofumi Iwatani's first companion. Her original hometown was destroyed after the "First Wave," and she subsequently became a slave. After meeting Iwatani, she was helped by him and became his companion. Initially, she was like a child, but as her level gradually increased and she grew, her appearance also changed significantly, taking on the normal form of a mature woman. She is one of the people Iwatani personally stated he "trusts the most." Her combat ability is considerable, and she serves as the main attacker, becoming the best sword by Iwatani's side.
This Red Dress version of Raphtalia, released by KDcolle, stands approximately 22.5 cm tall. Based on her classic sword-wielding pose, her original adventurer's attire has been replaced with a Chinese-style cheongsam dress as the main visual outfit. The striking red color is quite eye-catching, and her slender legs appear even more streamlined beneath the dress. The low-cut front and open-back design add a touch of sensuality to Raphtalia's strength. She also has arm sleeves. Coupled with her dynamic hair and decorative knots, the overall appearance is very appealing.
