After releasing "BUZZmod. Nezuko Kamado," Japanese company Aniplex (Aniplex Inc.) has once again unveiled a new product in its BUZZmod. series, based on the highly popular anime "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba": the "BUZZmod. Nezuko Kamado (Demon Form Advancing ver.)" 1/12 scale action figure. The suggested retail price is 13,000 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in May 2023.
The popular character Nezuko Kamado from "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" is the younger sister of the protagonist Tanjiro. She is kind-hearted and widely recognized as the most beautiful girl in the village. Despite being the younger sister, Nezuko possesses a very mature mindset and, like her brother, is willing to go to great lengths to protect her family. In the story, the Kamado family is slaughtered by man-eating demons, and Nezuko, the sole survivor, transforms into a demon after her wounds are contaminated with Muzan Kibutsuji's blood. She retains her human consciousness, gains immense strength, and the ability to change her body size, allowing her to "demonize" to protect her brother in times of crisis.
The "BUZZmod. Nezuko Kamado (Demon Form Advancing ver.)" 1/12 scale action figure stands approximately 15 cm tall. It faithfully recreates Nezuko's intensified demon form, complete with demon horns growing from her head and vein-like patterns appearing all over her body. Extensive research has been conducted to ensure excellent articulation, ease of posing, and playability. Combined with a partial fabric haori, the figure maintains its accurate proportions and styling while achieving a high range of motion in the lower body. It includes four highly expressive face plates: a fierce, veiny "battle face," a "gritting teeth face," a "maniacal laughing face," and a "crying face" for when she hears Tanjiro's song. These, along with Blood Demon Art effect parts and interchangeable hand gestures, allow for even more dynamic and spectacular poses!
