The HOBBY Division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company has announced the latest product from the "HG (High Grade)" series, the 1/144 scale Gunpla line known for its diverse mobile suit types, "HG 1/144 Gundam Lfrith Ur," from "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury," scheduled for release in March 2023.
The EDM-GA-01 Gundam Lfrith Ur is a Gundam-type mobile suit developed from the Gundam Lfrith mass production prototype before the Vanadis Institute was purged by a special unit of the MS Development Council. It was later provided to the anti-Spacian organization "Dawn of Fold" on Earth and is piloted by the "Witch of Earth," Sophie Pulone, in the main story 21 years later. Compared to the Lfrith and Aerial, which utilize numerous geometric designs, this mobile suit features a refined yet heavy armor design. It is equipped with a large Gatling gun, beam saber, and shield, and its backpack carries a phased array cannon.
The "HG 1/144 Gundam Lfrith Ur" reproduces its anime appearance with multi-color molded parts and excellent part separation technology, including separate parts for the green and red sections of the head. It adopts a snap-fit construction for easier assembly, and the neck, chest, and waist each utilize ball joints for flexible articulation, allowing the mobile suit to achieve forward and backward tilting poses. Weapon accessories include a large Gatling gun, beam saber, and shield. The backpack's phased array cannon can also reproduce its deployed state after Permet Score activation.
