The HOBBY Division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company has announced the latest product from the "HG (High Grade)" series, the 1/144 scale Gunpla line with the most diverse range of mobile suits, "HG 1/144 Mirasoul Flight Unit Equipment" from "Mobile Suit Gundam The Witch from Mercury," scheduled for release in January 2023.
This product three-dimensionalizes the new equipment "Mirasoul Flight Unit Equipment" used by the protagonist's Aerial Gundam. In the story, to allow Suletta to duel Elan Ceres's Gundam Pharact in the outer frontier space and compensate for Aerial Gundam's current lack of space mobility, Earth House's mechanical expert, Nika Nanaura, hastily put together this flight unit using discarded parts.
The kit reproduces the structure of the backpack main body with large thrusters suspended on both sides using multi-color molded parts. The base is connected with ball joints as per the design, allowing the thrusters to rotate in multiple directions. It also reproduces the mechanism where the beam saber handles hidden beneath the thrusters on both sides can deploy, and the internal structure of the outer circular parts can expand. It can be directly attached to the back of the separately sold "HG 1/144 Gundam Aerial."
After the prototype sample was revealed, it can be seen that the kit is composed of molded colors such as dark gray, light gray, indigo, and yellow. The overall design is basically the same as the previously released CG images, but the yellow inside the thruster nozzles will require stickers or self-painting for color correction. This equipment can not only be attached to Gundam Aerial, but also to other "The Witch from Mercury" series mobile suits with a two-hole back connection design.
In addition, the accessories also include "Gundam Aerial open palm left and right hand parts," which, when combined with separately sold ketchup, can recreate the classic scene at the end of Episode 12!
