Japanese toy brand "16 directions" (Japanese: ジュウロクホウイ, meaning "16 directions," usually abbreviated as 16d), which has released numerous soft vinyl figures of professional wrestlers, is set to launch a new product. The wrestler "BUSHI", currently active in New Japan Pro-Wrestling (新日本プロレス), is scheduled for release in April 2023.
BUSHI, currently active in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, real name Tetsuya Shimizu, was born in Tokyo in 1983. He stands 172 cm tall and weighs 83 kg. His distinguishing feature is always competing while wearing various masks. His initial debut name was T28 (not a mobile phone, but a Japanese phonetic approximation of his name Tetsuya "TE TSU YA"). He is currently a member of the stable "L.I.J" (Los Ingobernables de Japón). His wrestling style has strong Mexican lucha libre influences, excelling in aerial maneuvers. His finishing move is "MX" (a neck-clutch facebuster, similar to Chris Jericho's "Code Breaker").
This BUSHI soft vinyl figure from 16d captures his most iconic masked appearance, featuring a black and white color scheme. The pose, with BUSHI's arms crossed, exudes a powerful presence. The "武士" (Bushi) kanji on his head and the patterns on his attire are also faithfully reproduced. The head is rotatable. Additionally, a red and black New Japan PREMIUM exclusive version of this product is also available.
