Following the release of Gerbera Tetra, the robot-themed action figure series "ROBOT Damashii ver. A.N.I.M.E.", issued by BANDAI SPIRITS' Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS in Japan, has once again announced its latest product from "Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory": the "Gundam Prototype 4 Gerbera", slated for release in March 2023.
The RX-78GP04G Gundam Prototype 4 "Gerbera" was originally the fourth Gundam mobile suit in the "Gundam Development Project" commissioned by the Earth Federation Forces to Anaheim Electronics after the One Year War. Intended for combat in space, it featured three thrusters integrated with fuel tanks on its back, granting it excellent mobility and cruising range. However, the design concept of this unit largely overlapped with that of the Gundam Prototype 1 Full Burnern, and its development was halted after only the basic frame was completed. Nevertheless, Anaheim Electronics secretly re-equipped this unit to resemble a Zeon military mobile suit, the Gerbera Tetra, and privately transferred it to Cima Garahau through a secret pact.
The "ROBOT Damashii Gundam Prototype 4 Gerbera ver. A.N.I.M.E." continues the style of the ver. A.N.I.M.E. GP series mobile suits, featuring a refined and cool design based on the anime's design drafts. It meticulously reproduces details such as the various armor layers and thruster nozzles across its body. It also boasts a flexible movable joint design, with pull-out shoulder joints that allow for very natural posing. The three thrusters on its back can also be detached, just like in the original setting.
The armaments include a Long-Range Beam Rifle, Beam Saber, a shield with the GP emblem, and spare magazines. It also comes with various interchangeable hand parts, beam effects for the Beam Saber and Long-Range Beam Rifle, and thruster propulsion effects. These accessories can be combined with the flexible movable joints to recreate various dynamic battle scenes.
