The "ROBOT魂 ver. A.N.I.M.E." series of robot-themed articulated finished products, released by Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS, has announced its latest product from "Mobile Suit Gundam MSV": the "Garma's Custom Zaku II & Magella Attack Earth Descent Operation Set ver. A.N.I.M.E.", scheduled for release in April 2023.
Most people might see Garma Zabi in "Mobile Suit Gundam" as merely the youngest child doted on by his father, or Char's friend who was manipulated and killed, seemingly just a minor character. However, Garma's academic performance during his time at the military academy was second only to Char, and he achieved numerous accomplishments after the Principality of Zeon's Earth Descent Operation. Garma not only personally piloted his custom Zaku II F-type to the front lines, but when he was later appointed commander of the North American region to control occupied territories, it was a time when Garma truly showcased his kind nature and excellent social skills, attracting many Earth residents to cooperate with him despite the prevailing anti-Zeon sentiment.
The "ROBOT魂 Garma's Custom Zaku II & Magella Attack Earth Descent Operation Set ver. A.N.I.M.E." includes three units: Garma's Custom Zaku II, a Dopp fighter, and a Magella Attack tank, along with various weapons and effect parts. The Zaku features a new color scheme, body markings, and a head equipped with four vulcan cannons to recreate Garma's custom specifications. Its pull-out shoulder joints and leg linkage mechanisms provide flexible and natural articulation. It also comes with weapons such as the Zaku Machine Gun, a large Heat Hawk, and the Magella Top Cannon.
Both the Dopp fighter and the Magella Attack tank boast excellent detailed sculpting. The Dopp fighter can recreate states with deployed landing gear or damaged wings by swapping parts. The Magella Attack tank features a top/bottom separation mechanism, allowing you to recreate the scene of the upper section flying off by attaching jet effect parts.
