The French brand Oniri Creations, renowned for producing anime and manga statues, following their "L & Watari" release, has once again unveiled the latest product from the Japanese manga "Death Note"—the "Misa Amane & Rem" 1/6 scale figure. Limited to 999 pieces, it is scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2024.
The Japanese suspense shonen manga "Death Note," originally written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata, has garnered acclaim for its thrilling plot featuring the brilliant detective L and the protagonist Light Yagami (Kira) in a battle of wits. It enjoys immense popularity not only in Taiwan and Japan but also across Europe and America, even being adapted into a live-action American film.
Appearing as the second Kira, Misa Amane (あまね ミサ) is a beautiful model who deeply idolizes Kira after her parents' murderer was punished by him. She fell in love with Light at first sight. After obtaining a Death Note from the Shinigami Rem, she gained the "Shinigami Eyes," which allow her to see a person's name by looking at their face. She uses this ability to assist Light, but is also exploited by him.
The Oniri Creations "Misa Amane & Rem" 1/6 scale diorama statue features Misa in her Gothic Lolita style and the Shinigami Rem. It faithfully recreates Misa's initial appearance, holding the second Death Note. Details such as her corset, leather boots, cross necklace, and lace are meticulously sculpted, and her bold red lipstick makeup is accurately reproduced. Shinigami Rem's massive white wings and peculiar body structure are rendered with textured shadow painting, and the resolute expression on its face evokes its portrayal in the series.
