SEGA PRIZE, a prize figure brand under Japanese game company SEGA, will release a new "Luminasta Makima" as part of its popular "Luminasta" series, featuring the trending anime "Chainsaw Man." This new item will be available as a prize figure and is scheduled to debut in March 2023!
Makima (publisher's translation, phonetic transcription: Machima / マキマ) is the superior of the protagonist Denji and a Devil Hunter directly under the Chief Cabinet Secretary. Her personality is elusive, and her background is quite mysterious. She discovered Denji during a routine hunt for Zombie Devils and used an embrace to revert the fiend-transformed Denji back to his original form. She recruited Denji to work as a Devil Hunter in the Public Safety Devil Hunters, causing Denji to fall deeply for her. While appearing gentle, she is in fact a cold-blooded individual who refers to her subordinates as "dogs" and is indifferent to sacrificing them.
The "Luminasta Makima" prize figure stands approximately 22 cm tall. Dressed in her signature shirt uniform and long coat, it recreates the classic scene where she offers a cola-flavored lollipop for an indirect kiss! While it incorporates elements like her long pink braided hair and mysterious ringed eyes, and the pose and posture are charming, the overall facial sculpt makes it difficult to truly feel that this is Makima... For now, let's just call it a prize figure that "seems to be cosplaying Makima"!
