World-renowned film and television special effects company "WETA Workshop" today (19th) announced its latest product from "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers": the "Leaflock the Ent" 1/6 scale full body statue! Limited-time, made-to-order pre-orders are now open on the WETA official website, with an estimated shipping date in Q4 2023.
One of the Ents appearing in the film "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers," "Leaflock," whose Elvish name is "Finglas," is most memorably seen in the movie during the assault on Isengard, where he grabs two Orcs and smashes them together in battle. This piece is designed with that scene in mind, standing at an impressive 76 cm tall. It fully recreates Leaflock's slightly stout physique, realistic bark texture, piercing eyes, and beard composed of green leaves and branches, as well as the fungi located between his brows, among other details.
In addition to the Orc soldiers clutched tightly in his hands, a closer look reveals an Orc hand emerging from the pile of earth beneath Leaflock's feet, perfectly recreating the scene from the movie where Leaflock leaps from a height and crushes an Orc. The base, constructed from earth and rocks, is also incredibly realistic, showcasing WETA's astonishing craftsmanship!
