Japanese high-end statue manufacturer Prime 1 Studio's "Ultimate Premium Masterline" product series yesterday (19th) unveiled the concept design version of "Batman: Dark Detective" (バットマン ダークディテクティブ) 1/4 scale full body statue, based on DC Comics' Future State series and illustrated by Costa Rican comic artist Dan Mora! Multiple versions will be released simultaneously, with an estimated shipping date of January to April 2024.
This three-dimensional rendition of Batman, based on Dan Mora's design, no longer features the predominantly black Batsuit. Instead, he wears a multi-layered tactical suit, fully embodying his new identity as the "Dark Detective" adopted to confront a vastly different future Gotham. The overall scene depicts the Dark Detective engaged in intense combat against robots and drones amidst the high-tech streets of Gotham. From the intricate details of his equipment, the powerful musculature, and the battle-damaged armor, to the appearance of the drones and the complex mechanical internal structures of the destroyed robots, everything is rendered with exceptional sculpting prowess, offering a wealth of visual highlights.
▼ In the Future State series, Gotham City has become a high-pressure zone where both superheroes and villains are illegal. A legion of robots completely controls the city, and the freedom of yesteryear is long gone.
▼ The outer left thigh can be displayed with either a tactical pouch or a pistol holster.
▼ The DX Bonus Version will include additional double head sculpt accessories: one with tactical goggles and a gritted-teeth expression. Purchases made at the official P1S store will also receive an exclusive angry head sculpt.
▼ Furthermore, this "Batman: Dark Detective" will also be simultaneously released in a version wearing a tactical coat (タクティカルコート), which also comes in both a Regular Edition and a DX Bonus Edition.
