Following products such as "ROBOCOP MURPHY HEAD DAMAGE Ver.", Japanese toy brand MEDICOM TOY Company's popular MAFEX action figure series once again launches a new product themed after "RoboCop 2", the "MAFEX ROBOCOP 2 MURPHY HEAD Ver". It has a suggested retail price of 10,780 JPY and is scheduled for release in August 2023!!
In the sequel "RoboCop 2", Detroit City is controlled by OCP. Police officers go on strike due to delayed salaries, and society once again falls into an extremely corrupt state, with rampant violence and drug proliferation. RoboCop Murphy, who was transformed into a police cyborg, accidentally triggers a trap and is brutally dismembered while investigating the drug den of crime boss "Cain"...
The "MAFEX ROBOCOP 2 MURPHY HEAD Ver" action figure stands approximately 16 cm tall and recreates the bluish mechanical armor coloring from the movie. The head sculpt, with the face mask removed, reveals the remaining human skin, faithfully reproducing the expression and appearance of Officer Murphy (portrayed by actor Peter Weller). The intricate mechanical structure of the head is also visible. It also includes his signature "AUTO-9" semi-automatic pistol and a right leg part for storing the pistol, allowing for dynamic battle poses. What's noteworthy is that even the dismembered, upper-body-only state is perfectly recreated with newly sculpted parts! Even the eye-rolling expression is spot-on~ But Murphy's ironclad justice is indestructible!
