Following the release of Sugumi Kanagata, KOTOBUKIYA, a Japanese toy company, has once again announced the latest collaboration product with the mobile game 'Alice Gear Aegis' for their 'Megami Device' plastic model kit series, which combines mechanical armaments with bishoujo bodies. The 'Sugumi Kanagata [Gashin]' is scheduled for release in April 2023.
Sugumi Kanagata, an Actress belonging to Narukozaka Manufacturing, is a character whose design was handled by Pyramid and GEAR equipment design by Kanetake Ebikawa. A student at the Women's College of Design, she excels at creating various models and is an up-and-coming prototyper, with works including bishoujo character models, tokusatsu props, and toys. To further her model-making skills, she actively works part-time in various industries to gain more experience, and harbors the ambition to "modelize all Actresses," which led her to become an Actress herself.
This commercialized version features the Ace Battle Suit [Gashin], which boasts enhanced shooting performance. The kit is based on the previously released standard version, recreating the "Anthony" body suit, which resembles a black sailor uniform, with numerous new parts and new molding colors. Thanks to precise part separation, even a straight build can achieve a color scheme close to that in the game. The body utilizes the "Machineca" body designed by prototyper Masaki Apsy, featuring an elegant physique and flexible articulation. The skirts on both sides have movable mechanisms to increase the range of leg movement. It also includes 3 pre-painted face parts and multiple PVC hand parts for replacement.
The armaments are also modified from the standard version to a jet-black color scheme. The large twin wings feature multiple articulation points and can recreate a transformed state with deployment mechanisms, attaching clear effect parts for boosters. In addition to the original rifle and one-handed sword, two newly designed lightning-shaped rifles are included. Through a transformation and combination mechanism, these can become a two-handed rifle, an energy-gathering cannon mode, or a close-combat greatsword mode, recreating scenes where her SP Skill "Magnum Opus" is unleashed!
As for product bonuses, each model kit will include a redemption code for a set of in-game items for 'Alice Gear Aegis,' allowing players to obtain a set of Sugumi Kanagata's exclusive ★4 equipment and other items. If this product is ordered from the official KOTOBUKIYA SHOP, customers will also receive exclusive physical bonuses: a "Special FLYING BASE Articulated Display Stand" & "Hexagonal PET Sheet for Base", which will feature special designs such as company logos and the game title!
