Bandai Co., Ltd.'s GASHAPON capsule toy brand, known for its highly popular "Creature Encyclopedia" series, is set to release a giant-sized "Creature Encyclopedia Ants" capsule toy. Available in three types, each turn has a reference price of 500 JPY. It is currently available for gacha on Gashapon Online in Japan, with an estimated release in December 2022.
The "Creature Encyclopedia Ants" capsule toy, featuring substantial size, detailed sculpting, and articulated design, thoroughly reproduces the appearance of three types of ants through CT scans, rendered in 3D at a giant size of approximately 10 to 12 cm in total length. The lineup includes the Bullet Ant, one of the largest ants in the world, named for its extremely powerful jaws and sting with potent venom, where the pain of its sting is said to feel like being shot by a bullet. Also included are the Japanese Carpenter Ant and the Red Wood Ant. The entire body is designed with 26 movable joints, allowing for various impressive poses such as attacking, secreting formic acid, and laying eggs!
