LEGO IDEAS, a sub-brand of LEGO, announced the results of its first 2022 review yesterday (25th). Out of 39 submitted projects, a total of 4 creations stood out and are confirmed for commercialization! Each one boasts a unique theme, so let's take a look.

▼ A list of the projects that participated in this review. It's a shame that the beautiful "Magical Village on the Bridge," which we previously introduced, wasn't successfully commercialized!

First up is LEGO INSECTS, designed by 29-year-old Spanish LEGO fan José María. He used colorful LEGO bricks to create three-dimensional models of five insects, including the Blue Morpho Butterfly, Hercules Beetle, Harlequin Ladybug, Western Honey Bee, and Praying Mantis. The part selection for shaping the biological feel is incredibly clever, and the butterfly wing patterns are also very beautiful. These insect models range in size from approximately 6 to 20 centimeters, making them perfect LEGO sets for display alongside specimens.

The second project is THE ORIENT EXPRESS, A LEGENDARY TRAIN, designed by Thomas Lajon. Using 2995 pieces, he meticulously recreated the details of the 1930s "Pacific PLM 231 K 8" train. Its length is astonishing, approaching 130 centimeters. The mechanical structure of the locomotive and the elegant design of the passenger cars are truly captivating!

Next is TALES OF THE SPACE AGE, created by Polish LEGO fan Jan Woźnica. He chose to present it in the style of a sci-fi poster, showcasing a strong aesthetic reminiscent of classic 80s posters and books. The dimensions are approximately 14 centimeters tall, and Jan Woźnica even incorporated a wall-mounting mechanism on the back. The overall piece is truly captivating.

Finally, we have the POLAROID ONESTEP SX-70 instant camera model, created by 21-year-old LEGO fan Marc. Built from 538 pieces, the camera body not only boasts a beautiful and meticulously accurate exterior, but the coolest feature is that this model also includes a mechanism that allows a "photo" to slide out of the camera. This is achieved by turning a knob on the side, and it can also be displayed with film. It's truly something to look forward to!
