Japanese toy brand GOOD SMILE COMPANY's affordable pre-painted PVC figure series "POP UP PARADE" is scheduled to release a PVC product of the female character "Ichigo" (イチゴ) from the original mecha anime series 《DARLING in the FRANXX》 in March 2023!
《DARLING in the FRANXX》 (Chinese title: 親愛的弗蘭克斯) is an original mecha anime co-produced by TRIGGER and "A-1 Pictures", which began airing in January 2018. Its official abbreviation is Darli-fra (ダリフラ). The main story describes a distant future where Earth has become barren and unsuitable for human habitation. Humanity survives by extracting "magma fuel," but this attracts attacks from "Klaxosaurs" (きょりゅう). To combat them, humans invented the mecha "FranXX", piloted jointly by a male and female pair. The protagonist, Hiro (HERO), was originally a genius pilot, but became disheartened after an accident. His life began to change after he met a girl named "02", and the story unfolds from there.
The slender and cute girl with asymmetrical short hair is named "Ichigo" (イチゴ), whose real name is "CODE:015". She is a childhood friend of the protagonist Hiro and also the leader of Squad 13. A serious honor student, she harbored feelings for Hiro, but after 02 appeared, she viewed her as a rival. After a series of events, she came to understand 02's irreplaceable importance in Hiro's heart and decided to step aside. Many years after the great war, she married Goro and had a son.
The "Ichigo" figure released by POP UP PARADE is based on her appearance in her uniform from the original work. The adorable figure shows her gently touching her hair with one hand, while the other is tucked into her uniform pocket, revealing a smile. Beneath the uniform are her slender legs, and overall, she exudes a captivating aura. Fans of Ichigo may want to consider this figure.
