The popular action figure series 'S.H.Figuarts' from TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., has announced its first product from the popular anime "Chainsaw Man", the "S.H.Figuarts Chainsaw Man". It has a suggested retail price of 7,150 JPY and is scheduled for release in April 2023!
Created by Japanese manga artist Tatsuki Fujimoto, the dark shonen manga 'Chainsaw Man' tells the story of Denji, an extremely impoverished protagonist in a world overrun by 'devils'. To pay off his deceased father's massive debt, he becomes a Devil Hunter, earning money by slaying devils, and partners with the Chainsaw Devil 'Pochita'. In an accident, Pochita sacrifices himself, merging with Denji's heart through a contract, resurrecting Denji and granting him the ability to transform into the Chainsaw Devil. Because of this, he is noticed by the government's 'Public Safety Devil Hunters Special Division'.
The "S.H.Figuarts Chainsaw Man" action figure stands approximately 15 cm tall. Utilizing the S.H.Figuarts series' design for a wide range of articulation, it combines Denji's uniform attire with the incredibly wild head sculpt of his Chainsaw Man form. It includes interchangeable hand parts, a flowing interchangeable tie, and an open-mouth with tongue-out part, allowing for the recreation of various frenzied and dynamic poses from the series! Different paint applications are used to capture the luster of Chainsaw Man's head, the blood-stained metallic texture of the saw blades, and the wrinkled shirt, achieving both excellent sculpting and articulation!
