Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya recently announced the latest product from "Mega Man X6", the "Blade Armor X 1/12 Scale Model Kit", scheduled for release in April 2023.
The Blade Armor is one of the enhanced armors that protagonist X can utilize in "Mega Man X6". It is based on the Falcon Armor and enhances the performance of the Z-Saber entrusted to X by Zero. It features halved special weapon consumption and damage taken, charged special weapon attacks, Mach Dash for four-directional flight, and the ultimate move "Giga Attack" which greatly enhances the Z-Saber. However, its practicality and strength in the game were not very high, especially when compared to the overpowered Shadow Armor, leading to a significant drop in popularity.
The "Blade Armor X 1/12 Scale Model Kit" utilizes CAD design to faithfully recreate the in-game appearance, offering a precisely articulated model kit. Some parts are pre-painted, and it includes three pre-printed face parts and four interchangeable hand parts. By swapping parts, the buster arm can be recreated, and two types of blade effect parts can be attached, allowing for a wide range of dynamic combat poses from the game.
Additionally, accessories include the "Z-Saber" entrusted to X by Zero and an "X-specific sword-holding hand part", which can be combined with the separately sold "X (Rising Fire Ver.)" to recreate the classic sword-holding pose from the game's opening menu!
