Japan's GOOD SMILE COMPANY's plastic model kit series "MODEROID" will release a model kit of the OVA version of the protagonist Ryu-Knight "Zephyr" from the 1994 anime series "Lord of Lords Ryu-Knight"! Scheduled for release in July 2023.
"Lord of Lords Ryu-Knight" (覇王大系リューナイト) is an anime produced by Japan's Sunrise animation studio, which began airing on TV Tokyo in 1994, with a total of 52 episodes. Subsequently, three OVA works were released. The story describes the protagonist Adeu (アデュー), an apprentice knight who always talks about chivalry, traveling to become a true knight, and possessing the ability to summon "Ryu-Knights" with cards. During his journey, he meets Paffy (パッフィー) and others who are also heading to Astelia. They defeat villains encountered along the way, form a companionship, and thus the story unfolds.
Following the release of Zephyr and Magidona, the first products in MODEROID's "Ryu-Knight series," this OVA version of Ryu-Knight Zephyr is also being released as a limited edition. While its appearance does not differ significantly from the original TV version, the color scheme and patterns are quite different. The main difference lies in the shield held in its hand, and the emblem on the left shoulder is also a more unique design. For this product, the appearance changes can be completed using the included stickers. Other parts are the same as the collector's edition product.
