Highly beloved by many "Saint Seiya" fans and collectors, the "Saint Cloth Myth" series of products from BANDAI SPIRITS' Collectors Division is set to release an articulated figure of "Polaris Hilda" (ポラリスヒルダ), Odin's terrestrial representative from the anime's Asgard Arc, in May 2023!
The Asgard Arc story, an original creation for the TV anime, although not from Masami Kurumada's original "Saint Seiya" manga, features distinct characters with tragic backstories, enriching the plot of the Asgard Arc. In the story, Hilda, as the terrestrial representative of the Norse god Odin, undergoes a drastic personality change after wearing the Nibelungen Ring, attempting to melt the Arctic ice caps and engulf the world in floods. Ultimately, Seiya and the other five successfully defeated the God Warriors, collected the seven Odin Sapphires, and summoned the Odin Robe Cloth. After Seiya donned it, encouraged by Odin's voice, he bravely struck Hilda with the sword, destroying the ring. Hilda, upon regaining her senses, stopped the floods.
This Polaris Hilda figure from Saint Cloth Myth stands approximately 16 cm tall, featuring significantly improved and enhanced facial expressions and body sculpt. It comes with two interchangeable outfits, allowing for faithful recreation of Hilda's appearance in the original anime. The accessories are also abundant, including multiple sets of interchangeable hand parts, Hilda's exclusive throne, four different facial expressions, a bare body chest part, hair, her weapon trident, and a newly added blood-stained Odin Sword accessory, enabling the recreation of the scene where she wields the sword to unleash her power and stop the floods at the end of the Asgard Arc.
