TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, has announced the latest product from the transforming alloy toy "DX Chogokin" series, based on "Macross Delta": the "VF-31AX Kairos PLUS (Hayate Immelmann's Unit) Super Ghost Set," scheduled for release in May 2023.
The "Ghost" that appeared in "Macross Delta the Movie: Absolute LIVE!!!!!!" is a remotely operated unmanned combat aircraft used by the private military company Chaos in conjunction with its main model, the VF-31AX Kairos PLUS, with one mounted on each side of the main wings. The Ghost is equipped with armaments such as a single beam cannon and missile pods, and can also be enhanced with Super Pack components to become the more powerful "Super Ghost."
The "DX Chogokin VF-31AX Kairos PLUS (Hayate Immelmann's Unit) Super Ghost Set" product includes two "Ghost main units," "Super Ghost enhancement parts," and a "dedicated display stand." Each Ghost unit measures approximately 23 cm in length, meticulously reproducing its streamlined armor design, orange lines, and markings on the fuselage. By attaching the enhancement parts, the Super Ghost can be recreated, and can be displayed individually with the stand or mounted on the main wings of the separately sold "Kairos PLUS (Hayate Immelmann's Unit)."
Furthermore, by combining it with the twin beam cannon from the separately sold "VF-31AX Kairos PLUS (Hayate Immelmann's Unit) Reinforced Armor Expansion Set," you can recreate the VF-31AX Kairos PLUS (Hayate Immelmann's Unit) Super Ghost Equipped Type piloted by protagonist Hayate during the final battle at the end of the movie. The set also includes "Star Cradle" and dedicated hand parts to recreate famous scenes.
