Following the RX-93ff ν Gundam, the "ROBOT魂" series of robot-themed articulated finished products, released by BANDAI SPIRITS Company's TAMASHII NATIONS collector's toy division, today announced its latest product based on the life-sized ν Gundam statue in Fukuoka: the "RX-93ff ν Gundam Expansion Parts Set". This set will be sold exclusively at GUNDAM SIDE-F in Fukuoka starting December 10, 2022.
The much-talked-about "Life-sized RX-93ff ν Gundam Statue" is located in front of LaLaport Fukuoka. It is currently the largest life-sized Gundam statue in Japan, with a total height of 24.8 meters. Supervised by anime director Yoshiyuki Tomino, it redesigns the in-show appearance from "Char's Counterattack" to create a new ground-supported weapon, the "Long Range Fin Funnel". Some of the body's colors and markings also incorporate new designs. Its massive size, combined with lighting and sound effects, is incredibly powerful, and the right arm also features an articulated mechanism that allows it to be raised.
The "RX-93ff ν Gundam Expansion Parts Set" is based on the battle scenes from the statue's promotional video, which differ from the original work. It brings richer armaments and battle presentations to the separately sold "ROBOT魂 RX-93ff ν Gundam" main unit. The contents include a Hyper Bazooka and bazooka firing effects. The signature new weapon, the "Long Range Fin Funnel," can use the "Barrel Deployment Replacement Parts" and "Beam Effect" included in this product to recreate scenes from the video where it fires beams and is wielded as a large beam saber.
Additionally, the accessories include a specially colored TAMASHII STAGE base printed with Amuro's personal emblem. It can be combined with four sets of jet effect parts to display the backpack and leg thrusters in a jetting state. There's also a "replacement hand part for gripping Sazabi's spherical cockpit" to recreate the famous scene from "Char's Counterattack"!
