The popular alloy action figure series 'RIOBOT', launched by Japanese model maker Sentinel, today announced the latest product from the anime 'Super Electric Robot Tetsujin 28-go FX', 'Tetsujin 28-go FX & 17-go Phoenix', scheduled for release in August 2023.
'Super Electric Robot Tetsujin 28-go FX', which aired in 1992, is a sequel set decades after the story of the series' first work, 'Tetsujin 28-go'. The former boy detective Shotaro Kaneda has grown into a 45-year-old private detective and opened the 'Kaneda Detective Agency'. With the full assistance of his wife Yoko and the Sakaki family foundation, he not only preserved the old Tetsujin 28-go but also launched the robot development project 'New Tetsujin Project', creating dozens of new-generation Tetsujin units. Their eldest son, Masato Kaneda, became the pilot of the new-generation Tetsujin, 'Tetsujin 28-go FX', and together with the partners of the Kaneda Boy Detectives, fought against the evil organization 'Neo BLACK Organization' led by President Zorn.
The 'RIOBOT Tetsujin 28-go FX & 17-go Phoenix' utilizes composite material parts such as ABS, POM, PVC, and alloy to recreate Tetsujin 28-go FX's cool, brave robot-like design, sculpting its heavy, muscular armor and physique. Not only is it finished with metallic paint for a weighty texture, but color details such as the head, chest, legs, and the '28' emblem on the shoulders are also thoroughly reproduced. Illuminating it with a separately sold black light can even recreate the glowing scenes of its head and chest. The overall articulation also achieves a highly flexible level thanks to its unique design, allowing for dynamic combat poses, including its special move 'Super Electric Punch'.
The product also includes a Tetsujin 17-go 'Phoenix', which can be displayed in its bird-form flight mode using the included display stand. It also features a transformation and combination mechanism, allowing it to perform 'Super Electric Combination' with Tetsujin 28-go FX to become a flight backpack, enabling cool flying poses!
Sentinel also announced that another popular unit from 'Super Electric Robot Tetsujin 28-go FX', 'Black Ox (Tetsujin 29-go OX)', is currently under development and will feature a three-stage transformation mechanism. Ordering the 'RIOBOT Tetsujin 28-go FX & 17-go Phoenix' from the official Sentinel Store will also grant a limited bonus 'cable part for connecting with Black Ox & dedicated hand parts', allowing Tetsujin 28-go FX to be wired to Black Ox and perform combined special attack poses once Black Ox is released!
