GOOD SMILE COMPANY of Japan is releasing the "Nendoroid Roboco" articulated figure, based on the new anime series "Me & Roboco", as part of their popular "Nendoroid" series, which boasts over a thousand different figures! The suggested retail price is 7,900 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in August 2023.
Created by manga artist Shuhei Miyazaki, "Me & Roboco" is hailed as the next great comedy after Gintama! A major highlight of the series is its extensive homages (and parodies) of serialized works from "Weekly Shonen Jump". The story is set in a near future where beautiful maid robots called "OM (OrderMaid)" are widespread. The protagonist, fifth-grader Bondo Taira, eagerly awaits his family finally getting a beautiful maid robot. However, the Roboco (ロボコ) that arrives has a sturdy build, terrible cooking skills, can shoot beams from her eyes, and loves reading "Weekly Shonen Jump" – an eccentric robot maid... Thus begins the hilarious maid story of a grade-schooler and his unusual maid!
The "Nendoroid Roboco" articulated figure stands approximately 10 cm tall. Its Q-version design faithfully recreates Roboco's sturdy physique and adorable maid outfit, with her powerful, Naha-like knees also strongly depicted! It comes with three interchangeable face plates: a surprisingly goofy "Normal Face", a heartwarming "Smiling Face", and a serious "Realistic Face". Accessories include familiar items from the series such as a "Lifted Skirt", "Osu! Scumbag Rice", and a clear "Roboco Cannon" part. By combining these with interchangeable hand parts, you can recreate Roboco's bold and uninhibited scenes from the series!
