BANDAI's GASHAPON division, under its "ASSORT" lottery series, is launching the second installment, "My Unique Skill Is Roboco ASSORT 02" capsule toys, based on the hilarious anime "My Unique Skill Is Roboco". It is currently available for spins on Japan's "GASHAPONONLINE" online gashapon platform. There are a total of 12 types, with a reference price of 400 JPY per spin, and is scheduled for release in late February 2023.
Created by manga artist Shuhei Miyazaki, "My Unique Skill Is Roboco" is hailed as the next great comedy masterpiece after "Gintama"! A major highlight of the series is its extensive homages (and parodies) to other serialized works from "Weekly Shonen Jump". The story is set in the near future where beautiful maid robots, "OM (OrderMaids)", are widespread. The protagonist, 5th-grader Boku Heibon, eagerly anticipates his family finally owning a beautiful maid robot. However, the "Roboco" (ロボコ) that arrives is a bizarre robot maid with a muscular physique, terrible cooking skills, the ability to shoot beams from her eyes, and a fondness for reading "Weekly Shonen Jump"... Thus begins the hilarious maid story of a grade-schooler and his unusual maid!
BANDAI GASHAPON's "ASSORT (あそーと)" series categorizes capsule toy products into different prize tiers such as A Prize, B Prize, and C Prize, earning it the moniker "Ichiban Kuji of the gashapon world". This "My Unique Skill Is Roboco ASSORT 02" features A Prizes - two 6cm chibi figures, Roboco A / Roboco B, vividly recreating Roboco's exaggerated poses and emotions. B Prizes include six types of rubber keychains, and C Prizes include four types of badges, totaling 12 prize items!
