To commemorate the 60th anniversary of the veteran Japanese animation studio Tatsunoko Production, BANDAI CANDY, the candy toy division of Bandai Co., Ltd., today announced that the popular assembly model candy toy series 'SHOKUGAN MODELING PROJECT' will release the commemorative product "Tatsunoko Gattai Time Bokan Robot SP Set" in August 2023.
This giant robot, named "Tatsunoko Gattai Time Bokan Robot," is a new form born from this 60th-anniversary project. It is set that Dr. Kieta from the first "Time Bokan" series, to prevent the arrival of the terrifying "Scary-as-Hell Comet," gathered Tatsunoko mecha from seven works in the "Time Bokan" series and, through the power of gems, transformed and combined them. This ultimately completed the miraculous "Time Bokan Robot," which not only features various armaments but can also harness the power of all seven machines to unleash its strongest special move, the "Scary-as-Hell Bow and Arrow."
The ultra-luxurious "SMP Tatsunoko Gattai Time Bokan Robot SP Set" includes 7 mecha: TIME MECHABUTON, YATTERWAN, ZENDA LION, SUNDAY-GO, DAITENBA, RELIEFDON, and KAUTOZEMI, along with an SP weapon set. Each mecha not only faithfully recreates its in-show appearance but also incorporates an original transformation and combination mechanism, allowing them to form various body parts and assemble into the approximately 18.5 cm tall "Time Bokan Robot." Furthermore, it can even transform again into the mobile fortress form, "Time Bokan Base"!
With the clear green molded SP weapon set, parts from each machine can be combined to form various armaments such as the "Time Bokan Bazooka," "Time Bokan Saber," and "Scary-as-Hell Bow and Arrow." It also includes a metallic colored version of the villain mecha "Time Skull" head, which can replace the Time Bokan Robot's head part, recreating the classic scene where the villain trio seizes the protagonist's mecha!
