The 'ROBOT魂' (ROBOT SPIRITS) series of robot-themed articulated finished products, released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., has announced that the latest Gundam work, '(Ka signature) Amuro Ray's Custom Dijeh,' supervised by popular mechanical designer Katoki Hajime, will have its full product details revealed on April 11th. This product will be sold exclusively on Bandai's official online store, PREMIUM BANDAI.
The MSK-008 Dijeh is a ground combat MS independently developed by Karaba, a support organization for the AEUG, based on the RMS-099 Rick Dias. The unit features lightweight construction and an enhanced cooling system, with two wing-shaped heat sinks on its back. Jet thrusters installed in its legs significantly improve mobility and and maneuverability. It is equipped with weapons such as a bazooka, beam rifle, and a beam naginata for close combat. Due to some of its developers originating from Neo Zeon, the unit's appearance and weapon configuration are quite similar to the Gelgoog. Amuro Ray, one of its pilots, also participated in the development plan, offering suggestions that were incorporated into the actual design.
The 'ROBOT魂 (Ka signature) Amuro Ray's Custom Dijeh' continues the settings from Gundam Sentinel, a work Katoki Hajime was previously involved in. The main body design is fundamentally the same as the regular version released in 2017, but the backpack has been changed to the balance thruster wings mounted on the Rick Dias. The entire unit's color scheme and markings have been re-applied with Karaba's orange-red and white colors. In the past, Bandai also showcased the large weapon 'Hyper Mega Launcher' mounted on its left shoulder; it remains to be seen if this weapon will also be included with the commercialized product.
