Issued by BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS, the new 6-inch articulated series 'GUNDAM UNIVERSE', designed for Mobile Suit Gundam fans worldwide, today announced the latest product from the theatrical animation 'Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM', the "Strike Freedom Gundam Type II", is scheduled for release in September 2024.
The mobile suit piloted by protagonist Kira Yamato, the ZGMF/A-262B Strike Freedom Gundam Type II, is a new machine improved with Orb's latest technology. It was developed half a year before the main story of 'FREEDOM', after the original "Strike Freedom Gundam" was shot down following an attempted terrorist hijacking. While its external appearance hasn't changed significantly, its armaments, apart from the high-energy beam rifle, have all been updated. Notably, it secretly houses a powerful "Convergent Heavy Nuclear Beam Cannon" in its forehead, but due to its excessive destructive power and high energy consumption, it cannot be utilized in this form.
The "GUNDAM UNIVERSE Strike Freedom Gundam Type II" is an articulated finished product standing approximately 15 cm tall. It features a robust joint design and the series' characteristic styling, resulting in a more muscular physique compared to its original design. While the 8 mobile weapon wings on its back cannot be detached, they can replicate their deployed state. The railguns on both sides of the waist also feature an unfolding mechanism, allowing for dynamic battle poses when combined with its two beam rifles and two beam sabers.
