LEGO Encourages Children to Unleash Their Innate Creativity and Build Self-Confidence Through the Building Process
LEGO conducted research on social trends related to creativity and self-confidence in children aged 5 to 12. In a study covering 36 countries and over 61,500 children and their parents, it was found that children often feel insecure about expressing their creativity due to a pursuit of perfection and a fear of failure. Over 90% of parents and 80% of children believe that play provides a safe environment where children are not afraid to fail, allowing them to express their creative ideas more confidently without worrying about making mistakes.
The research also mentioned that using growth-mindset words like "imaginative" and "brave," and focusing on rewarding the "process" of a child's creation, can effectively help build their self-confidence. Building on these findings, LEGO Taiwan is creating spaces and opportunities for children to unleash their creativity. Through the "Play Unstoppable" themed workshop activities, they aim to inspire children to fully express their innate creativity, help them overcome the fear of making mistakes, and build self-confidence in the process.
LEGO's "Play Unstoppable" Two-Week Multi-Themed Experience Workshops in May Showcase Limitless Creativity
LEGO encourages adults and children to combine bricks with their diverse interests and hobbies to unleash their creativity. This Mother's Day season, LEGO Taiwan is setting up a limited-time "Play Unstoppable" workshop experience at Far Eastern Xinyi A13. Featuring interests like floral art, painting, fashion, and photography, and combined with various LEGO sets, it will offer two weeks of weekend-themed courses, inviting consumers and their families to get creative with LEGO.
On May 11th and 12th, the "A Flower for Mom" themed course will allow participants to choose from various LEGO flowers from the LEGO® The Botanical Collection to create a one-of-a-kind Mother's Day bouquet for their moms. The "Action! LEGO Hollywood" session will be like stepping into a small stop-motion movie scene with the LEGO® Disney™ Princesses, inviting consumers to unleash their multifaceted creativity and show their unstoppable potential in the themed workshop. On May 18th and 19th, in the "LEGO Little Art Studio," participants will use the LEGO® Friends series to design clothing and decorate spaces through drawing. The "Harry Potter Wizards" session will use LEGO® Harry Potter™ to enroll at Hogwarts, using LEGO bricks to showcase creative magic by making wizard hats and hairpins.
LEGO Launches Multiple New Sets and Limited-Time Promotions to Celebrate Mother's Day in a Creative Building Atmosphere
During the "Play Unstoppable" event period from May 9th to May 26th, LEGO Taiwan will be hosting pre-registration themed workshops, check-in gifts, and in-store gift promotions at the Nostalgic Food Court on the 4th floor of Far Eastern Xinyi A13. Registration for the LEGO themed workshop experience is available for booking on the official LEGO® Facebook page. In addition to enjoying building unique creations with family during the "A Flower for Mom + Action! LEGO Hollywood" sessions on May 11th and 12th, and the "LEGO Little Art Studio + Harry Potter Wizards" sessions on May 18th and 19th, participants can take a photo at the event, upload it to Instagram, follow and tag @legotw_official and two friends with #PlayUnstoppable, and then return to the LEGO® Certified Store on the 3rd floor to receive a LEGO® sticker sheet and an entry into a raffle for a LEGO® flower bouquet gift box.
Additionally, upon returning to the store, any purchase will grant one "Fun Build Experience."
