Warriors of Future

In a future world where technological civilization has rapidly advanced, humanity begins to pay the price for years of misdeeds. Earth is plagued by internal and external threats. A meteorite falls, bringing with it Pandora, an extremely lethal alien plant that grows upon contact with water, continuously devouring cities and endangering all human life......
Hot Toys, utilizing their top-tier sculpting and painting techniques, has recreated an armored head sculpt helmet with LED light-up functions. Lifting the helmet's visor reveals an incredibly lifelike head sculpt of Cheng Chung-Sang, portrayed by Mr. Sean Lau, capturing his expressive essence, facial contours, skin, and beard textures with remarkable realism. Concurrently, a specially developed action figure body, standing over 30cm tall with more than 30 points of articulation, has been created for the figure. It features cutting-edge metallic painting techniques to faithfully reproduce the entire dark green and black heavy power armor. The complete armor set is assembled from over fifty individual armor components, a process involving exquisite craftsmanship and considerable difficulty. It also meticulously features the number 39 and black and white lines, adorned with weathering effects to enhance the overall layered aesthetic.
Armor details include an LED light-up night vision device on the left shoulder armor, mechanical supports on the shoulders, upper arms, leg sides, and back. A pistol holster on the chest can store the pistol, and weapon holsters on the thighs can store the axe and dagger respectively. The back armor can also be opened to attach a jetpack, among other features. All these faithfully reproduce the complex settings from the film. Accessories include a heavy machine gun, an axe, a dagger, a pistol, one smoke grenade and one flashbang, and a rock formation diorama base.
It's worth noting that all the mechs, scenes, and atmosphere in this film were created by the late top 3D concept designer, Mike Andrew Nash. This film is truly the posthumous work of a designer hailed as the 'hard surface ceiling' in the industry... The main body is very solid, and the joint tightness is appropriate. The articulation is already quite good for a typical 1/6 scale figure! However, the thighs and hip joints cannot extend backward due to the sculpt of the buttocks.
The head sculpt is outstanding! Unfortunately, HT failed to address the details inside the mouth... I understand the difficulty in craftsmanship and production, but simply painting the mouth black feels like a waste of such a high-quality head sculpt. I would have preferred a closed-mouth sculpt instead! Another area that most needs improvement is the weapons... The axe, knife, and pistol are one size too small, feeling similar to the weapons of the Metal Structure Nu Gundam. The reinforced exoskeleton is full of details; although not identical to the movie costume, the details are well-expressed, especially the design of the reinforced exoskeleton on the back and the shoulder joints! While the exoskeleton connecting the thighs to the calves feels a bit 'cheated' (simplified/cut corners), it doesn't significantly impact the overall appearance.
Hopefully, the sequel to Warriors of Future will feature even more spectacular mechanical designs and armor/reinforced exoskeleton concepts, allowing Hot Toys to continue to showcase their prowess!
P.S. It's not that I didn't want to photograph Sean Lau; it's just that my camera ran out of battery, and I lost the 'spirit' to continue shooting...
