Following the "Ka signature Penelope (Hathaway's Flash Ver.)" released in 2021, the "ROBOT魂" series of articulated robot figures, issued by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, has finally announced today, after many years, its latest product from "Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway's Flash," the "Ka signature Ξ Gundam (Hathaway's Flash Ver.)," slated for release in December 2024.
The RX-105 Ξ (Xi) Gundam is a 5th-generation mobile suit secretly commissioned by the anti-government organization "Mafty Navue Erin" and developed by Anaheim Electronics. This machine boasts an astonishing height of 26 meters and is specialized for atmospheric combat. It successfully incorporates an internal Minovsky Flight Unit (theatrical version setting), an improved version of the Minovsky Craft System, as well as the new "Beam Barrier" technology, which reduces drag and allows for supersonic speeds during flight. In addition to its basic beam rifle, beam saber, and shield, the machine is also equipped with high-firepower psycho-communicative armaments usable in atmosphere, such as "Funnel Missiles," "Mega Particle Cannons," and "Micro Missiles."
The "ROBOT魂 (Ka signature) Ξ Gundam (Hathaway's Flash Ver.)" is thoroughly supervised by mechanical designer KATOKI HAJIME. It utilizes precise parts to recreate the newly designed appearance from the theatrical animation, meticulously detailing the Funnel Missiles hidden within the armor. The entire body features rich color applications and numerous marking prints. The whole unit boasts extensive articulation, a cockpit opening/closing mechanism, and can transform into flight mode without needing to swap parts.
For armaments, it includes a beam saber that can deploy beams from both ends of the hilt, and a beam rifle. It also comes with two detachable energy magazines, which can be attached to the beam rifle or stored in the side skirts. Furthermore, the model features an original interlocking mechanism with its sister unit, the "Ka signature Penelope (Hathaway's Flash Ver.)," allowing the "FF Unit" used by Penelope to be equipped onto the Ξ Gundam, forming a unique Ξ Gundam version of the "Big Goose" form.
