International collectible brand Star Ace Toys, following the release of their "Stay Puft Marshmallow Man" based on Ghostbusters, has once again announced another release from the film: "STAY PUFT MARSHMALLOW MAN BURNING EDITION" soft vinyl figure! Both a Standard Edition and a Deluxe Edition will be released simultaneously, with an estimated shipping start date in Q4 2024, priced at US$174.99 and US$188.99 respectively.
The colossal "Stay Puft Marshmallow Man" that appeared at the climax of Ghostbusters was the physical manifestation of Raymond Stantz's uncontrollable imagination. His entire body is made of soft, white marshmallows, topped with a sailor hat and adorned with a blue sailor collar and red neckerchief. Although the Marshmallow Man appearing in the urban jungle is enormous, his seemingly harmless, innocent smile instantly disarms you, making him more endearing the more you look! However, he can also flash a mischievous, cunning grin, adding a touch of naughty charm to his plump, adorable form.
This Burning Edition, inspired by the Marshmallow Man being relentlessly attacked by the Ghostbusters' proton streams, stands approximately 30 cm tall. In addition to recreating his mischievous grin and soft, white body, multiple areas on his surface feature scorched marks and blackened grime. The red ribbon on his hat, blue sailor collar, and red neckerchief are crafted from fabric. Simple articulation is included in the head, hands, and legs, and an LED light-up feature further enhances the immersive visual effect (it's almost as if you can smell roasted marshmallows!).
▼ The Deluxe Edition will include additional interchangeable head and hand parts.
