The "ENTRY GRADE" assembly model series, developed by the HOBBY Division of BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd. in Japan for younger audiences and beginners, announced today the latest product from "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED", the "Strike Rouge Gundam", scheduled for release in January 2025.
The MBF-02 Strike Rouge Gundam is a mobile suit replicated by Orb's state-owned military-industrial enterprise "Morgenroete, Inc." using obtained machine data and spare parts when recovering and repairing the Strike Gundam. Some parts were replaced with higher-performance specifications, and a new large-capacity battery "Power Extender" was adopted, improving some performance and energy conversion efficiency. This also enhanced the strength of the PS armor, which turns crimson when powered on. In the Remastered version, its back can be equipped with the "Ootori" flight unit, improved from the I.W.S.P., gaining excellent aerial combat capabilities in atmospheric environments.
The "ENTRY GRADE 1/144 Strike Rouge Gundam" is based on the Strike Gundam's parts with modified molding colors, featuring a low price, easy assembly, precise part separation, and flexible articulation. The entire model is composed of only over 80 parts. The armor uses black and three different shades of pink parts, and even the eyes on the head are reproduced with separate parts for color. It also includes a sticker of Cagalli's personal emblem to be applied on the shoulder, allowing the model to be completed without nippers or painting.
In the past, Bandai also released the "ENTRY GRADE 1/144 Strike Rouge Gundam" main unit bundled with a cookie bucket, but it only came with two "Armor Schneider" short knives as armament. This time, after being re-released in a regular boxed form, it finally includes standard armaments such as a beam rifle and shield.
In addition, it can also be equipped with separately sold products such as the "Accessory Set Gunpla 01 Aile Striker Pack" and "Accessory Set Gunpla 15 (Aegis Knight)" to recreate various armament specifications that appeared in the TV series and theatrical versions.
