Following the release of the "Stay Puft Marshmallow Man (Burning Version)," STAR ACE TOYS, a renowned brand dedicated to producing high-quality pop culture collectibles, is once again launching a new product based on the classic 80s film "Ghostbusters": the "Slimer (Slimer) 2.0" 1/8 scale soft vinyl figure. It has a suggested retail price of US$144.99 and is expected to be released in the first quarter of 2025!
Slimer is the gluttonous ghost that the Ghostbusters encounter in the hotel in the film. Upon his appearance, he covered the Ghostbusters in slime, giving them a hard time, but he was also the first ghost actually captured. His voracious and comical image has made him, like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, one of the most iconic characters in the franchise!
This Slimer 2.0 1/8 scale soft vinyl figure stands approximately 22 cm tall and features simple articulation in its arms. It faithfully recreates his gooey, translucent body and yellowish large mouth. The included sausage accessory can be placed into this gluttonous ghost's mouth, recreating his ravenous eating habits! Furthermore, this version utilizes the deluxe base from the previous 1.0 release, meticulously sculpted with food debris such as pasta and bread scattered over the Ghostbusters logo. A new ghost trap model has been added to the side, featuring an internal LED light. When Slimer is mounted on the base with the flexible tube stand, it can recreate the scene of him being captured by the ghost trap's green light!
