Japanese company Hikidashi (株式会社ヒキダシ) announced today (the 9th) their latest product from Akira Toriyama's classic work "Dragon Ball": "Dragon Ball Z Collectible Medals Vol.1" (ドラゴンボールZ コレクティブルメダル Vol.1)! Pre-orders are now open at the HKDS STORE, with shipping expected to begin in late January 2025. The suggested retail price is 800 JPY per medal, and a box of 14 medals is 11,200 JPY.
This release is themed after the classic "Frieza Saga" from the anime "Dragon Ball Z," bringing the characters that appeared in the series to life as exquisitely textured zinc alloy (亜鉛合金) embossed coins! Each coin measures approximately 4 cm in diameter. In addition to the familiar gold, silver, and bronze finishes, there are also full-color versions that intricately capture character details! The character lineup includes 14 individuals (13 + 1 secret), and each character has full-color, gold, silver, and bronze versions, totaling an impressive 56 variations!
The character lineup includes Son Goku (Super Saiyan), Son Gohan, Vegeta, Piccolo, Krillin, Frieza (First Form), Frieza (Fourth Form), Captain Ginyu, Dodoria, Zarbon, Bulma, Dende, Son Goku, and an unannounced secret character.
Gold Version (金いぶし)
Silver Version (銀いぶし)
Bronze Version (銅いぶし)
Purchasing a full box at the HKDS STORE also grants you a special "King Kai" coin as a bonus, which is not included in the regular character lineup! How devious!
