Japanese model manufacturer (KOTOBUKIYA) has announced the latest product in its extremely diverse assembly model customization parts 'M.S.G' series, "Weapon Unit 56 Japanese Sword 2 [Black Blade]", scheduled for release in February 2025.
This kit is based on the previously released "Weapon Unit 47 Japanese Sword 2" with modified colors. It utilizes molding colors such as red, brown, and metallic black to represent the painted vermilion scabbard, the unpainted natural wood scabbard, and the cool black blade.
Specifications other than color are the same as Unit 47. The kit includes soft PVC belt parts, Type A Japanese sword "Koshirae" with elaborate decorations, and Type B Japanese sword "Shirasaya" with simple fittings. Both Japanese swords come with three forms: drawn, sheathed, and scabbard-only. The kit is sized to match Kotobukiya's bishoujo plastic models and can be used with series such as 'Frame Arms Girl', 'Megami Device', 'Sousai Shojo Teien', etc.
